cheapest place for a 10k 74gb raptor local

Cheapest I thought would be fry's but they want $230 for it. I can find it online for $180 shipped, does anyone local have it for under $200?

Who cares, it comes with the same warranty if it screws up, it takes a few days to get a new one. My file server holds on my vital files, so I'm not worried about losing content. Besides its water cooled with everything else in my setup, number 1 cause for hdd failure is heat, it'll be fine.

The raptor kicks so much ass, mine runs alot cooler and alot quieter than I thought it would. I read all the reviews on newegg and a bunch of people complained of the noise and heat but I think they are all on crack. I cant hear the drive over the sound of my radiator fan.

Actually I think im going to get one of those refurbished drives so I can check out what RAID 0 is like, thanks for pointing out your find.

Raid 0 is sick on the 74gb, its pointless on the 36gb ones. Honestly though, you'll only notice faster write/reads, it'll be barely noticable in game play.

Just looked at Fry's ad from yesterday and they have the 36Gb one for like $80 after rebate or something like that.

What do you guys think about just getting a 36GB 10k RPM for main stuff and then a larger 7200rpm drive for storage?

I mean i've had this computer for almost 3 years and this hard drive only has 25 GB taken up.

I was checking out those benchmarks when I was trying to decide if I wanted to get 2 36GB drives or a 74GB and wait a while for a second one. Im glad I went with the 74GB now, everything is stupid fast with just ONE drive.
