How can I password protect folders on my computer ?

Any help apreciated ?
I have a 2nd hardrive that I have shared on my network and would like to password protect certain folders. I want to be able to access this folder anywhere on my network.

I have Win Xp home edition

Is that the way to do it for jsut your computer also. In other words more than one person uses a single computer.

I know you can make a folder private to other users but I want to be able to access that folder anywhere on the network but it be password protected...

you would need to share it and set the share permissions to a user account on that machine. when you try to access it you should be prompted for a username/password.

get a small encryption utility can set passwords to everything this might do it
