XP pro freeze!!!

Help me figure this out please. XP goes through booting and then just freezes at the screen right before the welcome screen. I can't boot in safe mode or anything. Is there anything I can do? if you need more detailed info let me know.

Kyle

hit your computer with a sledgehammer.

or try booting from the windows CD and repair the install.

it's likely a hardware problem, FYI.

When you try booting into safemode, it should have a list of drivers that it's loading. Which one is it stopping on?

NO it will not, but you will loose all the drivers, so get them ready to use.

BTW, on XP you have to reauthenicate. PITA, because if you have reinstalled this before you have to call and talk to person that gives you 3rd degree about piracy and crap.
