My speed tests

I went to dslreports.com and took the speed tests and this is what they showed.

http://www.dslreports.com/speedtests...com/1106066028

http://www.dslreports.com/speedtests...com/1106066347

http://www.dslreports.com/speedtests...com/1106066409

Are these good, bad, what?

I'm trying to find out why I lag and chop so much when I go to the big cities in WoW and when there are a lot of players killing each other in big pvp battles.

BTW my specs are.

AMD2200+
512 corsair memory
GeForce 5900XT 128

2009 Pontiac G8 GT white hot

RIP - Dimebag Darrell 12/8/04

That's decent. Have you tried pcpitstop.com? Why you are lagging, couldn't that also be a result of others in the game? If someone has a high ping it slows down everyone.

you need WAYYYYYYYYYYY more memory ... look at it like this if you are solo and killing crap in a area...and NO one else is around ..everything is alreayd preloaded on your computer ..

but

like Org city ...the server is having to send you what EACH player is doing ....get another 512 stick and I promise you will no doubt see a down in your comptuer lag ..it is NOT your internet connection

To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

Thanks, 512 more was next on my list anyways. Looks like I'll get some as soon as I can.

Kaji, more RAM would help but right now Blizzard is messing with the servers (check their website, they actually gave all of us 48 hours extra because last weekend was so horrible).

BTW anyone know how I can find out the max cache RAM I can have on my motherboard? I wouldn't mind popping in another 512mb stick also.

Thanks minis, I had CPU-Z on my computer for a few days a while ago but had to reformat due to some virus issues.

The fastest download I got was about 8mbits from Ubisoft. Downloaded 3 different files from Fedora at 600kB/s, 600kB/s and 400kB/s. I believe that is close to 13mbits total.

Kaji, the bill is $45 a month.

Yep Keller is one lucky town. Of course I'm down here in Austin and the university's internet is insane (sorry no numbers right now, might be able to check tomorrow). My parents live in keller and during my christmas break I was trying to convince my mom to change from charter to Verizon fios, but she's not that great at computer technical stuff so I was never able to fully convince her. Verizon I think plans to have Fios spread to ~6million in the US by the end of this year so I think that more of DFW will be incorporated since we already have a hub here.
