SoundCards...

Someone suggest a good sound card, don't really want to spend THAT much.
I was thinking Audigy 2 ZS (but it's too damn much).
Just really want something for gaming.
What do you recommend?

i had an audigy 2 zs platinum, the only thing i liked specifically about it was the front drive, which was very nice.

however, it's output was much less than i expected from such an expensive card, to the headphones i was using, and there were always noise issues.

basically my point is, that PC cards are PC cards, so just get an Audigy 1 and be done with it. i think they are like 30$.

if you don't need the surround sound, then don't bother, IMO.

btw, i benched back to back with an audigy 1 and audigy 2 on a variety of different programs, and was not impressed with the difference it made.

Chaintech AV-710. $25 and has 7.1 surround with optical output. Bit-perfect output if you're also looking to listen music with it.

What is wrong with a delta 44? I use one on my recording rig and that thing sounds awesome on games. Zero latency ring a bell? Get some monitors and play to your hearts content pretty killer.
