dvd x copy platinum

does anyone have dvd x copy platinum 4.0 3.8 running on your computer. I have the program and the key gen for it but cant get it running. I am stumped It says you have to set the time back to nov 11 2003, I did that. then you run platinum and once the reg screen is up the run key gen. It gives you a license id and password. if you put those in it ask for a password agian put the same one in?? then use the user 1 and 2 to get an activation number I have done all of that. but it wont work I need help please.

hmm....pretty sure I have that version with the ripper function and never had any of those problems. I just followed the install instructions and it came out just fine. never had to reset the date. can't really help right now though since I'm at school for the day.

Why do people insist on running this garbage? There is plenty of free stuff much better.

DVD Shrink is great for making DVD to DVD backups, but if you really wanna compress DVD's onto a CD, then go download Gordian Knot.

There are still people who want to do that? Picture quality will be horrible and there will be no surround sound. Why not just burn DVD's? (I'm asking out of curiosity, not flaming)

I used to do it when I didn't have a DVD burner. That's really the only reason I can think of someone wanting to do it.

Picture quality is about on par with VHS when it's shrunk down to fit on a CD, and yeah, no surround sound (same with VHS). Which actually isn't too terrible, but not as good as it could be, for sure.
