PCMCIA slot problems?

If I put my wifi card it, it will say adapter is not inserted, any idea how to fix this?

most common thing is when you put the card in and its not fully seated. on some cards you need to pretty much jam the s.o.b. in. first thing i would do when you think its in all the way is to go to the add new hardware wizard in your control panel and have it auto detect any changes. if it still doesnt recognize it you may have a defunct card.
