I'll wait until I see some games for the PSP before deciding if I'm going to buy it. All I keep hearing about the PSP is how awesome it's going to be... yet little to no mention of any developers signing up to make games for it, little to no mention of games that will be available for release.
And always "It should be out in a few more weeks"... yet last I'd heard ... a couple months ago ... was that Sony had delayed the system yet again ... the general speculation is that they haven't been able to figure out how to get it to last more than an hour on battery power, without making it bulky and clumsy.
And the latest news is that Sony is going to require the game developers to be "conservative" in their development, so the games don't eat up so much battery life. So much for finding a solution for the battery life problem... make the developers figure it out :-/ ... But hey, at least they can now release it before Christmas, right?
Portable gaming isn't so portable when you gotta be plugged in.
And the DS's wireless isn't limited to being in the same room. It has built in WiFi, which potentially could mean gaming over the internet, should developers decide to incorporate it. The bundled Chat software already makes use of the WiFi, to make a graphical IM client that can send both standard text messages, as well as handwritten/drawn text or pictures, by using the touchscreen.
