The 64bit chip is good for audio and video editing and gaming as well as engineering programs. As long as the program supports it.

In case some of you dont know WinXP 64 build 1184 is rock stable and runs like scalded dogs on an AMD64. Atari is ahead of the field getting a 64bit game to market before anyone else. I know alot of folks running the 64bit WinXP beta rigth now, seems the rest of the gaming world wont release theirs till it goes on the shelf though. However I can tell you there are ALOT of BAD A** games in the works for WinXP 64 release.
