something I have found with avg and system restore.

on xp it scans the system restore files and if the virus is in there it can not clean it.... the simple solution I have found is to turn off sys restore and reboot.... then turn it back on.... and that removes any old restore points with the virus in it...


Just thought I would pass this along... because I have had it happen to me a couple times.

A better solution is to not use XP at all.

thats one way to look at it... problem is for the majority of the public that is not an option....
