Favorite, free CD ripper

Like it says, I want to transfer my cds to mp3 format. It seems all the ways I used to use have switched to "pay me mfer" method and I don't want to download a dozen so called solutions before I find one that really works.

Audiograbber is a great application for ripping CD audio into mp3 format. Its a very nice program, makes great quality mp3's. you'' need to find a way to register it though

Rip CD's...

Why not just use Windows media player? I know it's the program that comes with the computer, but it's what I use and it works great. You can select any kind of quality you want, what the file name will be, etc...

WMP will make them .WMA format and not MP3s... at least the last time i used it it did.
Of course they will still play with any mp3 player.

I had Nero on my old computer. That was an excellent prog. Now I just use Sonic through my DELL free software package.
