Laptop Question

my brothers laptop needs the HD replaced....it makes a noise like its not turning......but anyway,
how hard is it to replace the HD on a laptop. ive never opened up a laptop and dont wanna risk screwing it up more

Make/Model?

Most lappy HDDs are simple to replace. Typically one screw and slide it out. Usually has some sort of mounting bracket that'll also be easy to change between one drive and another. I'd say other then hot swappable CD drives, HDDs are usually the easiest thing to swap on a laptop.

i dont remember its been a while but i think its an HP and he was told the HD under everything on that model not sure
