internet closing problems!

Sometimes when I go to a website and click on a link it will close the internet pages down completely. I tried to click other links and they will be fine, then there are those that aren't. I tried it on Mozilla and regular Internet Explorer.

Intel Pentium 4 Processor (2.80GHz, 533 FSB)
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
128MB Shared DDR SDRAM at 333MHz (Performs at 266MHz for 400FSB systems)
40GB Ultra ATA/100 7200RPM Hard Drive

Im using Charter Communication 256K cable modem and using Mozilla Firefox.

I'm of the opinion that some websites will crash some browsers some times; as bland as that sounds.

I went to braums.com (as in the ice cream place) and that wasted not only my netscape process, but hung my session such that I had to have someone else kill the process from his box. I'm on a Sun Solaris UltraSparc5 w/ netwcape.

So, the way I see it, its kinda an issue that just exists; a website will occasionally give your http browser some code (be it html, xml, activeX, etc..) that breakes it (at least in the current session you have with the webserver hosting the site your viewing).
