What data file for Outlook address book?

I'm using Microsoft Outlook and just changed computers, we migrated everything over but now my address book won't show up. All of my passwords and mail setting work fine, just no address book. I think I need to move the file but i have no idea which file it is or where to move it to. I am on a windows XP machine and I'm using plain old Outlook.

do a search for *.wab

it should be located in this location..

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book

make sure you have show hidden folders on or you will not be able to see Applicationi data..

Hope that helps...

outlook is .pab I think. You should just be able to export to a .pst then import back in and voila.

depends on how it is setup and what version of outlook.... but all are correct.... if you use contacts for your addresses it will just be in your pst... other wise either pab or wab....

if you are using contacts and just not seeing the list you can right click on contacts and choose properties and I believe there is an option in there to use contacts as your personal address book... if I am not mistaken...

Export/Import your address book. Bring up Outlook and click on File and then Export. Reverse to import it.

I just did that, it works. My boss at work wanted to check her shit at home, so i export than import. It was quick, plus it saved all her emails.
