Alienware opinions?

Im lookig around at good laptops because Im thinking bout getting one for internet browsing while Im away from my desk but I do a lot of gaming and I want something with some upgradeability which is hard to find in a laptop. Anyway Ive been looking at Alienwares but the fuckers are HIGH dollar. Any opinions on them or any other laptops that I can upgrade such things as videocards?

i've heard some horror stories with getting alienware's computers to network with other than proprietary hardware, but that was a while back they could have the issue resolved.

definitley bad ass computers, you'd in no doubt be disappointd with an AW.

i have about 1200 dollars in my system, and the B.S. system check that you can do at their website, provided 2 computers "better" than mine, niether by much, but both were over 3000 dollars, and had significantly better hardware.

Gaming system and laptop in the same sentence doesn't really work... Dell has gaming laptops, but for the same amound of money you could have a great gaming desktop and a regular laptop to take with you...

I already have a great gaming desktop, I just need something a little more portable for trips and such.

I have an Area-51m, before the upgradeable video card, it's a piece of crap. There tech support is a joke, I've had to send in two times for the same issue, bad NIC. And when you do sned your shit in they take a month to get it back to you! F-Alienware.......
