Computer Lost Dialer??? What Now??

I must have deleted something the computer needed. It gives me no dialer messege window when I try and connect to the internet. It has lost the modem before. I got it to find the modem and talk to it. It says everything is ok. But it still will not find a dialer. I even tried the system restore reload. I dont know. I played with it for about 6 hours last night. Its an HP with win98. Any ideals.
Thanks
Bud

YOU WILL NEED TO CALL YOUR INTERNET PROVIDER. MINE DID THAT ALSO AND THEY HAD ME GO INTO SYSTEM CONFIGURATION AND PUT IN SOME NUMBERS. AND IT HAD DELETED IT SOMEHOW... EVERY 2-3 MONTHS OR SO I HAVE TO DO THE SAME THING...GOOD LUCK

Its doing it with both internet providers. I could see one, but both. It worked fine Sat afternoon. Then last night when I tried to get on line this came up.

Cruz I will check that when I get home.

Is it possible that its a port problem. Its on port 3 but I think it use to be on port 2??
I am also going to pull the modem and change it to the old one I took out and see if that helps.
Thanks guys.

you need to reinstall dial up networking. pretty easy once you've done it once or twice. just call up your isp tech help and they will walk you thru it.

Newbies, please watch THIS before posting.

Ok. Its showing in the device manger. No problem there. Tried the reinstall on the networking. That didnt fix it either. I did cause acouple more problems but fixed those. I have been using the windows help thing in the computer and following it. None of that seems to be the problem. It cant find a dialer. I changed the modem last night. That didnt work either.
The computer itself works fine. I even burned a CD with it last night. The only problem is the dialer one??
Thanks
Bud

Now that would take the fun out of all this Cruz. I will keep that in mind right before the baseball bat cure fixes it..... I'll fix it. I just need some direction what to look for and do to it.
Thanks

Just an update incase someone else has this problem. No dialer means it has lost all the phone numbers to dial for your internet provider. So you have to uninstall and reinstall their software and you will fix that problem. So that problem is fixed. Now to fix the others I caused..... lol
