sound card with audio out rca's?

I am wanting to turn a machine I have into a stereo for the house. With the vast number of MP3's I have its like the ultimate cheap jukebox (sp?) I need a sound card that has audio left and right out, nothing real fancy just an audio out to plug into my home stereo. This is an old machine its only like 550mhz and is a pentium III. Please suggest a card for me, if you need any other info please ask.

TIA

don't you have a sound card right now with a headphone jack? I've just used that, with a cord that you can buy from Radioshack that switches from headphone on one end to RCA's on the other end and that goes into my receiver. I don't know how much better sound quality you could get with a true RCA output, but mine sounds nice (well, before I kinda blew up my speakers )

so, you are saying that I can use the speaker outlet that already exists and just adapt it? The outlet that the existing computer speakers hook up to the sound card with looks like a headphone jack, ill give that a try, thanks!

yep it'll work. same cable that might come with a portable cd player to hook to another audio device. I used to run the audio out on mine to a home amp without a tuner and powered a 10" bandpass sub.

I've used the adapter from Radio Shack that makes the RCA's into a headphone jack. I just plugged it into my MIC in on my audio card, then recorded the .wav with MusicMatch
