DSL question

Are all DSL equipment the same? I recently had SBC DSL and their equipment. Now that I am in Keller, they have their phone own company called One Source. Can I still use my equipment with a different company?

I am trying to keep from having to buy all new equipment.

I hate dial up.

I tried that but it is ONE SOURCES's area not SBC's. They do not share lines.

I would think the service you're getting would be ADSL line. Ask them. I don't see a reason why any ADSL modem wouldn't work. They are just trying to get you buy/rent their stuff, don't fall for it.
