Convert from WMA to MP3?

Any ideas what I can use? I need to convert a few over because I can't play WMA's in my truck and I'm not sure if Musicmatch or WinAmp will do it for me (I'm at work right now).

Randy, just wanted to say thanks for the suggestions of Gold Wave. Finally downloaded it a few weeks ago and used it and it's perfect. Had to download a plug in (couldn't figure out why it wouldn't convert until I found out I needed a plug in) but it works like a charm. I also noticed that it allows editing of music as well. Gonna play with it sometime this week to chop down some songs that bleed into the next track. Thanks man!

You should really be thanking Jay. He is the one that got me interested in it almost a year ago and I haven't looked back since. It is a great program for converting or editing almost everytype of audio file.

Have you heard from Jay lately??? I haven't seen him post in a while.

I haven't explored the program very much and I want to load it up on my laptop so I can play with it more the next time I go out of town. Seems like a pretty easy program.

I still lurk

But yes, Goldwave is the shit As long as the WMA files aren't protected, you can convert them. You can also do batch conversions, if you haven't discovered that yet. Makes converting a lot of files a breeze.

Also, you can take video, and save just the audio. I dunno many people that do that anymore, but me and my friends when we were in High School, we used to record the audio from movies on cassette tapes, and listen to them during classes, or lunch. Now you can do it with CD's and mp3 audio... maybe get a few movies on one disc. Cheesy, I know But hey, it's something else ya can do with Goldwave.
