Best Bang for the Buck Video Card?

I'm putting together a PC with 2.8 P4 800, 512mb, 160 gig HD and want a nice video card that is Direct X 9 capatable. Any suggestions on the best card for the money? I'd like to keep it in the $150-$200 range.

I picked up a Radeon 9700pro off of ebay for $120 and it kicks ass for what I paid...Geforce 5600 is suppost to be a decent card for the $$$, stick with a 128MB card, there aren't any games that would benefit from 256MB and by the time there is a game that would use the extra memory the rest of the card would be out of date...

PNY

Any PNY 5600 or 5700 Ultra will put you in the $119-$150 range and is a superior card to most the other brands. They use their own memory and tend to be a bit faster than the others also because of this. Their memory clocks are a bit higher and overclock better too.

I'm about to be doing the same thing. So far, the ATI Radeon 9600XT looks to be the best bang for the buck currently available. You can get it new from $170 - $200 depending on where you buy.

It also comes with a coupon for a free copy of Half Life 2 when that comes out ... assuming it EVER comes out.

Also looking at upgrading the card on my HTPC, to the All In Wonder 9600. Would be nice to at least be able to play some games on it, other than the emulated ones

yeah I am about to get rid of my GeForce FX 5200 128 meg... it works great... but just not to the capabilities that I want...

I will sell it for 65 bucks btw

But I am going to eat the cost and jump into a 9600xt
