Virtual Memory?

I installed the pc game 1942 on XP, and it runs extremely slow. So I deleted all my other games, cleaned my c:, defraged, and still runs slow. I have the proper system requirements? Then I get a pop up that I'm low in the Virtual memory. Can I increase this on my hard drive?

Yes you can increas the VM by going to the Control Panel then System, now click on the Advanced tab and under Performance click the "Settings" button. Now click on the Advanced tab and under VM click change. Under "Custome Size:" you can change the value here. I'd start by increasing it 25% and see how it performs from there.

One last thing just because your PC meets the basic requirements for the game does always mean it will perform well. I'm not sure how much RAM you have but add more is always better.

Thanks, I'll try that. I found some other helpful hints online. I've never had any problems running any other pc games.
