Scanning in as text

I have a binder full of papers that have a guys name in the header and footer, but my dad wants his name instead. So he asked me to retype every paper and put his name on them. I have a scanner but I know scanning in as text doesn't always work right. Is there an easier way to do this that wouldn't involve me retyping 20 pages?

Any scanner will do, but OCR ( Optical Charector Recognition ) is the software you'll need, most $100 scanners come with it.
