Do you want the firewall running on the box. If not su to root and type

service iptables stop
or
service ipchains stop

To keep them from restarting at boot do

chkconfig --level 2345 iptables off
chkconfig --level 2345 ipchains off

If you are hosting it from a cable/dsl connection, some of the ISP's block outgoing 80 connections so you cant run your own server. Some dialup isps do that shit too.

If it isnt connecting internally try ( as root )

service iptables stop

if it still doesnt work then try

service httpd status

if its says apache isnt runnin', then well, there you go
