Linux Partition

i tried this once and AbecX said i fucked it up. i let linux do it on its own. he told me how to setup the different partitions, but i cant find the thread. i just installed VMWare so i can run windows and linux simultaneously so my question is, how do i setup the different partitions for linux to use?

all you hafta setup is a swap partition and a / (root) partition. HOW you set them up, depends on what distro you use. I run slackware, and with it I always use cfdisk.

Boot doesnt need 200, maybe 100mb at the most.
Swap needs to be twice the amount of ram you have, although I hardly ever go by that rule and almost always make a 500mb swap partation.
