Heck, I would do it for free. You pick out the parts you want. I'll show you have to assemble it. It is easy once you see how it is done.

That's why I don't build computers for anyone.

With hardware so cheap there is no money to be made in it. Hell I've built my own for over 10 years and on my last box I just said fuck it and just bought a dell.

For the prices and deals they have just get something from them than risk getting sold some offbrand stuff and having no support and highly likely a bootleg OS and software.

If you arent going to do it yourself I would recommend just buying a prebuilt one so that you will have a warranty and someone to blame.

It's not very difficult at all. I've always built them for friends or family for free... never built 'em for money cuz there's not a lot to be made.

Looks like you might already have assistance, but if you need additional help, let me know.

I also forgot to mention that Dell refurbs are a real good way to go, too.

I also suggest the dell dfo. Just make sure there isnt a bunch of promos on the new ones.

I got my laptop from the DFO and have had it for 3 months with no troubles.

I got the 1100 Inspiron 2G celeron, 256 ram, 24xcdrw/DVD combo, 20gb 5400rpm hd, and 15" display for $911.

That included tax and had free shipping.

another option is sam's .. they have great prices on complete computer packages.. check them out

i used to work at circuit city.. if you go there and see an open box item (computer in this case) you can get them to take a lot off.. there is usually 3 levels the manager can go (lower)... if you are in dallas area go to the circuit city by galeria mall (off tollway) ask for Art mckee he know mucho about computers and can get you in one for cheap
