I don't know of any gui editors for Linux. But you could use WINE to run Dreamweaver MX.

I use Dreamweaver because it's the best designer/editor out there. Has a full featured text editor for the masochists out there that feel you HAVE to do everything at the code level, or you're not a real web designer

As well as a professional level wysiwyg editor to make designing layouts a breeze. I put pages together visually, then switch to the code view to tweak whatever needs to be tweaked (or add/edit my php scripting). It has some of the most common php tags built into it, so you can get up to speed, including database connectivity. And it's nice having the color coded code, so if you fuck up and don't put a ";" or "\" or whatever where it needs to be, you'll immediately know something's wrong.

I used to have a decent one but I can't remember the damn name of it... you should be able to find one pretty quickly if you run a couple searches....

You are not a real web programmer unless you only use notepad!

Actually, I use a program called html kit from chami.com. I have dreamweaver but I dont like it. Everything I write is scripted so there is very little static html anyway.
