There are several different "types" of movies you can acquire on Kazaa, here are some of the types:

CAM: Worst picture and sound quality. Usually filmed in theaters with camcorders. Picture is dark and blurry, sound is scratchy and you can usually hear others voices.

TS (TeleSync): Higher quality cameras, also filmed in movie theaters. Picture is usually much better and sound is decent, mostly TS films suffer from being too dark.

TC (TeleCine): Ripped from the reel, DVD like sound and picture quality. These are rare when compared to the other types.

Screeners (VHS or DVD): These are promotional copies of movies sent to radio stations, tv stations, critics, etc. The VHS screeners are usually decent sound and picture, but somewhat blurred. DVD screeners are usually almost perfect with the exceptions of copyright notices scrolling through the movie at interveals or black and white periods during the movie.

DVD Rips: Movies ripped from retail DVD's such as you would buy at the store or rent from blockbuster. Picture is usually perfect as well as sound.
