Exclamation Can't play dvd's all of a sudden. . . . .

I get an error message, says that I need to drop my resolution or color settings. I've never had this problem before, I don't understand why it started all of a sudden. I re-installed WMP 9, and that didn't help. I even installed a seperate DVD player software, and that still didn't help. That player get a critical error, and then closes down. I've never had this problem, and I've tried just about everything I can think of. What gives?

Ok, I get another error message, It says that it won't play DVD's when the TV out on my video card is activated. I have a GF4, and There is no setting to shut it off. I'm also using the most current drivers as well.

That's just a BS error. It's saying that it can't initialize the overlay. Do other video files work, such as DivX?

Also, are you using XP? If so, try a system restore back a few days, to see if that helps (or back as far as needed, as to be before you had the problem with playing DVD's)

My system restore is not working. WTF is wrong with my machine? The virus scan came back negative.. I'm about to try again, I uninstalled my video card drivers and re-installed them.

Ok, the PowerDVD is playing the DVD now, but Media Player still can't. My Divx Movies are playing fine.

I didn't see any. I think it's my PC, not the software. I may have a bug that my anti-virus isn't picking up. First my Audigy Drivers went beserk, disabling my sound card, then this.
