Internet Explorer: Click 'open in new window', and the window is...

If I click a link to open it in a new window, the window is automatically smaller, not full size.

How can I get rid of this default?

Just curious...it's annoying as hell.

As in not maximized? If that's the case, I think it's a registry key, though I'm not sure which one.

You could, in lieu of jacking with the registry, just stretch the new window out to each corner, thus making it look maximized. Then close it, and when you open a new one, it should default to that size.

Yeah, that drives me crazy too.

Solution is the drag to maximize trick. If you use the maximize button in upper right hand corner, next time you open a window, it will be the smaller size again.

just tried all of them, and none are working.

When I click on a link in my email, and it opens in a new window, it opens up in a small window.

Dunno then.

I had the same problem this week, dragged the lower right hand corner to make it fill the screen, then next time I got an email about a thread being responded to, IE opened to a full window.

Try this do as everone has said drag it to a full screnn put here is the TRICK when you close it do not press X instead go to file in the upper left corner then press close.. It will cose our window and the next time ou open it it will remember the full screen setting as it was the last setting you set.

Hope that helps...
