Sorta dissapointed with C&C Generals

I'm a big fan of Total Anihilation. Yes, it's an ancient game but I love the look and feel of the game and I enjoy playing on some of the huge maps they have.

Now my gripe about Generals. The maps are to small. I love that they are very detailed (one of the things I love about TA) and that the graphics are simple awesome. But when playing against two or three computer players there (IMO) is not enough room to breath. Overall I love the game and the units used. I love to build up my units and attack the enemy from different angles. God help them once I get the particle beam weapon thingy running

I agree with the maps being too small. All it takes to beat someone who like to build up is a quick strike.

I got fucked up that way in a couple of occasions until I learned to get some units cranked out (couple of Humvee's loaded with rocket soldiers and the TOW option).

Just because I know how to work the CD Player on my car doesn't make me a nerd Jeremy

Just got a legit copy of Generals, Monday. My bday. Have had a copied one for a couple of weeks, but haven't had much chance to really get into it. What I've played so far though, I'm likeing. And I wanna check out the map editor. I know on the old games, you can get some crazy big maps going, 8 player maps that were just HUGE for 1 on 1 deathmatches.

LOL! What I'd really like to do is have a LAN party. But I'm unwilling to host Sorry But that's a thread that we should start to see about interest.

LAN party would rock. I've finally found a group of peeps that have them regularly, and I can actually attend now since I have a laptop, so I don't have to lug my tower / monitor around.

We had two, 2 weekends ago, another one last weekend, and we're talking about yet another one, possibly 2 this weekend

I've been so busy playing Enemy Territory every night that I've completely ignored C&C Generals. Gotta play a game tonight

Whenever I get the money to upgrade my PC I can start playing some of these newer games and then maybe join in on these LAN parties. It sucks... I have to weight the options=Mods for the car or new computer. For the past year its been the car. Damn, I need to just win the lottery and get it over with.
