PS2 question/help

My Sony PS2 will only play the dark blue/black discs. The ones you rent that look like a regular dvd/cd will not play. It says disc error. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Scott

Try cleaning the laser. If that don't work, you may not be renting PS2/PS games. I thought all PS2 games had the blue, and all PS games had the black.

Could be either non-ps2/ps games, or dirty laser. Or just the laser is defective.

I have heard it depends on if the game is dvd rom or not depends on what color it is.

Thumbs up

Thanks DarkWolf the laser needed cleaning very bad. The regular (silver) discs are working fine now.
