Virtual Desktops

what do you guys use if you use it?? im trying to find one that i can move windows from one desktop to another???

A few years ago I had one that had this functionality but.. i cant find it or remember the name of it.

You need to be a little more specific.

It sounds like you could be talking about VNC or Terminal Services but you could also be talking about VMWare.

I think he's talking about this;

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p.../powertoys.asp on the right hand side is a Power Toy called Virtual Desktop Manager. It's like the one in Linux....

sorry... What im needing is a virtual desktop app (i.e. 4 diffrent desktop views).. the one above would probably work fine but im on Win2k

how it works is.. I can have a few apps open on my desktop, then hit a hotkey like F1 or F2, and switch to an empty desktop (while the other desktop still has my programs running.. but i cant see them)...

the one i have now works well, but i want to be able to move windows from Virtual desktop... to the next?? Does nobody use this kind of app?

Cool Desk is a pretty good one. You can move apps from one desktop to another.

I like how with enlightenment you can run your mouse to the edge of the screen and it will change desktops.
