Silver- You run any tweaks on it? My cable connection is with RoadRunner, and I see 200-300 KB/sec downloads within IE from good connections. Here's a test I just did at dslreports.com with multiple browser windows open, and outlook running in XP:

I likes my wireless

Just tested it last night (don't have a cap): 1081 down / 861 up

I could go for a faster download, but I love that upload speed! I usually average about 1 - 1.2Mbps, so it's not too bad

You can go to www.themexp.org and download alot of cool themes. There is also a link to the Style XP prog. that he is talking about.

Jay, that is some wicked fast upload speed! I run my own webserver and I am limited to around 350k. Wish I had your bandwidth.

I need to start check'n out some themes Haven't even looked at Theme XP since right after XP was at final release.

MoonDog: Yeah, I likes it It's supposed to be synchronous, but at 860ish ... I ain't complaining! It varies, sometimes I'll get 560, the highest I've seen was 950, and the lowest was 120 (which at the time, my download spead was 170ish )

That's really the only problem with wireless. If the weather's bad ... it doesn't cut the connection (unless the power goes out, obviously) but it does slow it down. It has to be REALLY bad for it to slow down that much, but thunderstorms and such like we've had recently, will take me down to about 460 - 600dl, and about 400 - 500ul. Not too shabby.
