The UN wants to ban critisizm of Islam

They say its to seperate Islam from the terrorists (from the wests view point). But how would that seperate the two?

It wouldn't, and that isn't their goal. But we already know this.

Extremist's announce religion as the cause of their actions, that is why the connection exists and that is why it will stay.

Just another stepping stone toward the new world order, where you can be jailed for what you say and believe in.

The only way a U.N. resolution can be binding on any country is if that country allows it. Sadly, this country may very well consider doing so under the present administration.

I think they are just worried about the image of their religion from a media/movie perspective. Hollywood influences the world more than anything I bet. Especially in third world countries.

I think that anyone who actually gives it some thought can see that the evil pieces of crap only use religion to whatever end they choose. It has always been this way with religion. It's sad. But Islam is just the fad of focus of our times. It will pass into obscurity with time. I am hoping that Iraq will become a strong democracy that will hamper their efforts.

All I know is, they are damn lucky that we are "nice guys" (the U.S, that is). If we wanted, they would all be slaughtered like the dogs they are. Then, no more Islam. Problem solved.

Even the two major sects of Islam have had disagreements over who was/is the rightful successor to the prophet Muhammed, sometimes to the point of killing each other. The U.S., or the West in general, conveniently provides a common enemy of infidels that both sects can agree to oppose. Add in a few despotic leaders to exploit these passions for their own gain, and we wind up with the situation we're in.
