Article shows data where dinosaurs bones date less than 10,000 years??

http://www.angelfire.com/mi/dinosaurs/carbondating.html

Some scientists have tried carbon dating dinosaur bones and they get dates of around 10,000 years or less. I've posted about how carbon dating isn't accurate because scientists claim they need to know how much carbon was in the air at the time the object existed in order to get an accurate date. But, I still thought this article was interesting. It addresses other dating methods too apparently, but I didn't read through it all, just read the first part about carbon dating. The other stuff looks interesting too, but I don't have time to read it now.

Awesome. A dating method that's only acurate up to 50,000 years being used to date bones millions of years old.

Brilliant.

That's longer than carbon dating claims to be accurate.

Theology and it's intelligent discussion will be around long after we are gone. Now, some of the less intelligent "discussion" LOL (more like cackling) that goes on in this forum might be better off dead.

Is it me or does the angelfire hosting and goofy pictures sort of throw off the credibility of this information?

Anyways...Even if carbon dating only good for 50,000 years, how does this play into Creationism? According to a timeline I was recently referred to, God finished Earth and gave life to Adam and Eve around 4000 BC. If we can say that Adam and Ever were created 4000 BC, our would is only 6000ish years old. At what point did God create these dinosaurs?

There are tracks of man and dinosaur together fossilized in Glen Rose... at some point they co existed. God put the "fear of man" into all animals at the time.

There are numerous points to both sides..read the link and make your own conclusion.

Interesting read. But...

If it completely refutes evolution, how do we explain all the giants back then, and heights of only 5'-6' today? Isn't that in and of itself indicative of man evolving to a smaller stature?

I agree it was an interesting read. I dont think the bible completely refutes evolution, but more that the world was fueled by evolution. While reading the timeline flashstang04 posted in another thread, it showed and evolution of the lengths of lives. People were living 900+ years and over a thousand or two years, the ages decreased to 200 (with the exception of Noah). I dont think bible goers can say evolution does not exist at all for we see it in viruses such as the flu.

I dont think that the footprints were of a human that long ago... The sheer size and depression like you said makes the person a giant. I would guess there was another species of animal out there we may not have discovered yet...like BIGFOOT

No, there is a vast history of giants that walked the land from the land of Gath. Some think that it was a result of the fallen angels that mated with the human women. The same verses where we see the age of man shortened.

Gen 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

Gen 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also [is] flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

Gen 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

BTW, we see genetic mutations (flu, etc,), but this is not evolution.
