The Curtain is slowly rising...

maybe the Masons, here or anywhere, might want to explain why they (the Masons) believe in G#d or a supreme being. And, can one be a Christian, of some denomination and a Mason.

Only in the entry level... once you get to a certain degree the occult principals are introduced.

Sooner or later the "christian" mason has to make a choice.

I wondering, wasn't Christ a mason?

No he was a carpenter. They don't allow wood people into the stoner places.

That would be Woodmen of the World.
But seriously, I'm beginning to think Christ was a Mason. I will research this and draw some conclusions.

I'll answer my own question. When the curtain does rise, the Mason Order as we know it will cease to exist.

Nah... then they'll go into "double secret probation" mode. The more that's revealed, there's just more added to it.

I think most of them just laugh at people trying to "figure them out."

It is available to all at an entry level yes. As for higher degrees and behind the scenes activities, that is all who you know and what family you are in.

Do not follow in the footsteps of the wise, but seek what they sought.

The guy at the door of a Masonic hall is called a tyler...that's all I know.

That's at least more than Sgt. Schultz up above professed to know.

On a more serious note:

Freemasonry is a false religion which in its higher degrees teaches a blasphemous name for God. Because it claims to be a universal religion, the Masonic ritual considers Jesus as only one great teacher among many. Masonic authority Albert Pike, in his book, Morals and Dogma, states: "it (Masonry) reverences all the great reformers. It sees in Moses, Confucius, Zoroaster,...Jesus of Nazareth...great teachers of morality and eminent reformers, if no more, and allows every brother of the order to assign to such higher and even divine character as his creed and truth require."That sounds as if Masonry were tolerant and open-minded, but in reality, Jesus Christ is excluded from worship in the Lodge. Because Masonry seeks to offend no one, Masons are strictly forbidden to discuss their own religious beliefs within the Masonic temple. Albert Pike writes, "No one Mason has the right to measure for another within the walls of a Masonic temple, the degree of veneration which he shall feel for any reformer, or the Founder of any religion." In other words, during a Lodge meeting, no Christian Mason is allowed to give testimony for Jesus Christ.

If Masonry seeks to offend noone, then wouldn't they need to take dismissing Jesus as the Son of God to be offensive to some?

Edit: I see... within the walls of the Lodge.

The last 2-3 pages of Morals and Dogma says one should not limit or restrict anothers spiritual quest.

What if their quest is to profess their faith to others?

If you don't like it don't join, simple. Freemasonry is open to all who profess a belief in a god. Leaves me out but doesn't bother me one bit. I do however appreciate the good things that they do and will never turn down a Schreiner asking for a donation.

So it can be said for the record that membership (if that's what it is called) in the Mason Order is NOT a forced march?
