Christians: explain the June Bug

Please explain why god created the June Bug. You know, the brown bugs that fly into screens, bump windows, fall to the ground, spin around for a while, and die.

No, I think my question has been answered. God created june bugs to be food for other critters. Fair enough.

After the fall, all things were changed.. one of those things was the fact that animals had to die for us as food to live..(including bugs) . It is a precursor the the one and only Lamb, that had to die so that we might ALL live.... see?

Seeing how a june bug has no immortal soul, you would be correct. I know..sucks to be him right?

Because they were created for man to have dominion over... will they be transformed in the end? Possibly, as we read that the lion will lay with the lamb. But as for now, animals and insects are created beings that have a purpose of keeping the cycle of life going. Humans are the only creation that has self worth, in the sense that is rationalizes values....characteristics of the soul.

Well, I have never seen a miracle happen to a june bug (or any animal for that matter.) Nor have I've seen a group of animals come together to pray for the health of another fellow animal.

For example, look at a guy named Don Piper...he was officially declared DEAD for 90 minutes and then came back to life after a paster stopped by and prayed over him(he wrote a book over it, check it out if you don't know who I'm taking about.) I've never seen anything like this happen in nature...only to humans. I can give more examples, but to me that is a good point that only miracles seem to happen to human beings and not animals.

I went to swat a june bug the other day and he flew away, I mean I must have only missed him by a fraction of an inch, it was close. He made it out alive though. I'm sure if there weas a way to communicate with a june bug, he (or she) would consider it a miracle.

I don't think dolphins have a sense of true self worth, but learned instinct and behavior. Maybe some evolved sixth sense.

Maybe it would...but would you consider that a miracle or learned instinct?? Now, if you did squash that june bug, and other bugs came to the dead body, pray for it, and it came alive an hour later, that would be a true miracle

I was under the impression that it was a miracle

So there is a scientific explanation of what happens when a dolphin saves a man from a shark attack? Do you believe in god?

I guess I would consider that more of a blessing than a miracle.

I think science could explain why that dolphin saved that man. Maybe not at this point in time with the technology we have, but maybe in the future as we continue to advanced our knowledge of animal behavior.

Yes, I do believe in God and I would consider myself a spirit filled, bible based Christian and by no other definition. Do I believe in evolution?? Yes, to a degree...I think evolution and any proof thereof doesn't change my beliefs, but strengthens them.

It isn't a miracle when you pull your hand away from a hot stove....it is built in reflex, just as swatting a bug..

I know why you are bringing the dolphins up again, and I hope that you are not intentionally being condescending, but the question is not is it a miracle that they fought off a shark....because it isn't, they are natural enemies..

However, one must question weather or not that it was a miracle that the dolphins happened to be swimming there when the event took place.

So then you agree with an atheist about this dolphin stuff, and not with a christian that believes otherwise?

Not really, dolphins happen to swim in the ocean, now if this story had happened on land, I would concede my argument and say that it was truely a miracle.

Here is my thing clock....I think it is miraculous that my heart keeps beating second to second....it is charged by an electrical current that I myself create. I think it is a miracle that I can take light rays, and process them in 2 holes in my head, and my brain can then translate the image to my receptors in an upright position. There are so many miracles around me right now that agreeing with someone is not really the point. There are many people that have been stranded in the ocean that died horrible deaths...many Christians as well. The point is that His will is being done. In an eternal perspective, what seems terrible and unjust to us actually works for a perfect plan that we will just not understand this side of Heaven.

So to answer your question directly, do I think it was a miracle, ..yes
Do I think it was random chance that the dolphins saved him?..yes

Ponder on that...

Correct. I don't believe that it was a true, God sent miracle. A blessing perhaps.

To irritate parents.

You know, when the kid stuffs one up his nose and you can't figure out what the heck that slimy green discharge is that has been oozing out of his nose for over a week.

I think the whole question of a June Bug having an eternal part to its make-up would be better answered by referencing the fact that Jesus says when He comes we are with Him riding horses, and these are not physical horses of this earth. We don't go find a horse and jump on it. It's a horse that comes from heaven. Therefore, I'd say there are animals in heaven, so I'd think they have an enternal spirit. Who knows? That's just my 2 cents...

Okay, well if there are horses in heaven, we can only assume that there are other 'animals' in heaven as well, including the june bug.

So.... either god created june bugs merely as food for other animals and essentially created a species just to be slaughtered by the millions orrrrrr ...... I'm right

Explain to me why evolution hasn't taken care of the June Bug?
Explain to me through the principals of evolution the reason it is here?

Why your at it I have a question.
If you evolved from Aps...Monkey etc, why are there still Aps and Monkey's around...are they just behind in the process?
(This is a serious question, not trying to be a smart ass)
