The Gospel of St. Thomas

http://www.allaboutjesuschrist.org/g...-st-thomas.htm

Thoughts? Although church's don't recognize it as "true", the whole idea of God and the Kingdom of Heaven is inside of us seems to be what Jesus's teachings were about, right? Kinda brings into question what churches are really here for if they don't believe this Gospel to be true. Are they here to spread the word of God or are they in it for other reasons?

There are things written in the Gospel of Tom that contradicts the rest of the bible, that is why it was never included.

Yeah, the bible contradicts itself enough as it is. Wouldn't want to have to deal with anything else doing the same thing.

If the bible is gods word and god is perfect there shouldn't be any need for change.

I believe the reason for change was and is for our own benefit. It has nothing to do with whether or not He is perfect. Besides, change does not necessarily mean contradiction. Can you give an example of the OT contradicting the NT?

Yes, that is my legal birthname. If that is your only argument for this subject, please do us a favor and move on.

Also, by saying it contradicts itself. I'm not saying anything bad about God himself. Just simply providing evidence that the Bible appears to be more mans word than Gods.

<---Has no problem with God or the majority of Christians. Just looking for answers.

In the areas where these items say they are CONTRADICTING themselves they are taken out of the context of where it came from. You may only be seeing one verse when in reality there are many others that support this. They are not contradictions just merely taken out of the CONTEXT of the teaching.
