Unhappy I'm not a very religous person...But,

There has been many events in my life recently that has be lurking more and more to this forum, and reading alot more. I've made many changes to my lifestyle, to the way I speak(still working on that).

I've was raised around the Catholic ways, but I can't agree with them. I don't know why, I just don't. I've never actually sat down and read the Bible, but like I said, I'm more and more tempted to do so.

I haven't lead a perfect life, and I have made Many, many mistakes, most of which have caused pain and tears.

I'm tired of always being upset, and confused. I need somewhere to look, and someone to look to.

The events in our life happen for reasons..you can not dewel on them for a life time..cause you will miss out on so much...just learn from your mistakes and you have but one choice to ....move on....I know many pains in my life so far and it is hard at times..but u just have to let it go for the best of your family......in the bible it says I do not remeber the verse : / ...but it says God will not put more on your plate then you can handle.

what area do you live in mabye we can help you find a Church to attend and talk with someone there

To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

I know I can't dwell on certain things for long, but it's hard to let go when they come back to you, repeatedley.

There is really little I can do, but cope, and live on. As for Church, well, that's a 3rd world for me. I've been into a church maybe 5 or 6 times in my lifetime.

well man if you truely want to become involded in a church ...like I said what area do you live in? I am sure we can suggest a place for you to try out ......Only you can make the choice to take god in to your heart...when you are to accept him in to your heart ..you will no doubt see a great change in your life.....I know at times we all struggle in life and sometimes we doubt everything in our life even religon...but a true belive will always come back and realize it is the best thing for him or her...I suggest giving it a try......I mean being brought in to a community that will help u in anway possible can not be all that bad : ) ......you will met people that go through stuff much worse then you or mabye not as bad ..and when that happens even you yourself can teach that person how to handle that situation...

You really need to look no farther than the bible for your answers. Everyone knows what John 3:16 says:
Quote:
For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
This pretty much is the bible in a nutshell. If a person submits to Jesus Christ then God will in turn give the gift of eternal life. Well you say "how is that gonna help with my problems now?
Quote:
Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you.
Quote:
Joh 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Rom 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

See, God does not leave us alone once we start believing. Part of God, His Spirit, dwells in each of us to comfort us in our time of need. He did not say that all our problems will cease and they will all go way, what He says is that the believer will have peace concerning these problems because He will help us through them.

I was gonna ask this same question. Getting into church and learning what the bible says can and will help you in your everyday life. Many of us in here go to some awesome churches. I attended Covenant Church in Carrollton, heck, Nic and Duff have recently started to attend Fellowship Church out in Grapevine.

Church is not what it used to be, when I was younger it was kinda boring and I didn't feel there was much for me there, now the churches have become more contemporary and offer alot for the "younger crowd". You should give it another shot, but dont stop at just one, try a few different ones out to find what you want. I went to about 4 or 5 different ones until I found our current church and have been there for 11 years.

good advice Randy...

Silver - where do you live? I would be more than happy to spend some time with you in person and share with you the good news about how you can become a new man. Let me know if you are willing!

Like I said dude, my wife and I go to Covenant Church on Trinity Mills right between Marsh and Kelly. I am sure you have seen it if you travel Trinity Mills at all. We hit the second service which starts at 10:00 and runs till 11:30-11:45. You can check out their website at http://www.covenantchurch.org. Shoot me a pm if you decide to check it out and/or want to meet up before or after service.

Silver, I take it though that you are not saved, but I dont know that for sure and no one can know that but yourself and God. But all I can say is being saved/ giving your life to Christ is a life changing experience and you'll never be the same. Its kinda like all those bricks of burden you were carrying on your back are now gone. And this is all done b/c one man/God gave His life for yours. All you have to do is accept that gift, devout yourself to Christ, and your salvation is paid in full.

Silver, I'm sorry that you're having trouble in your life, but glad you are seeking answers and a new beginning. It is also encouraging that your wife is open and willing to seek something new with you. I agree that you guys should get yourselves a couple of Bibles (if you don't have them already) and then find a good Church where you can learn and feel you can fit in. Plus we are always here for you too.
