The 5,300-pound granite monument that Moore installed violates the Constitution's ban on government establishment of religion
How does a monument with the 10 commandment engraved on it in the state's judicial building mean the government is establishing a religion? They aren't making anyone read it or even look at it. It isn't religion that people have a problem with, it is morality.
Moore said in response: “I have been ordered to do something I cannot. If the rule of law means doing everything a judge tells you to do we would still have slavery in this country.”
I will have to use that one the next time I have to go to court.
The Oath of Office is administered by the Chief Justice of the United States, and its text is prescribed in the United States Constitution. The President-elect places his hand on the Bible
, raises his right hand, and takes the Oath as directed by the Chief Justice.
Does this mean that the government is trying to secretly establish a christian religion here in the USA?
I think we all need to go downtown and tell them that they need to start taking down all the pegasuses around town. I think the city of Dallas is trying to push greek mythology on the good people of Texas.
