I'm not saying it was intentional, but when a QB gets knocked out cold in a slide they usually get the benefit of the doubt.
And yes... he's out. Carted off after 15 minutes on the ground. Bad concusion. CBS says the initial report was he has all feeling, but doesn't remember anything. Yikes... scary stuff.
cool man, that link doesn't give the hit justice though. when they showed it from behind it looks like his neck could've been snapped. even in slow motion it looked really nasty.
Yeah, the side view of that hit does it no justice what-so-ever. You have to see it from behind and see his head whip and bounce off of the turf to see how hard that hit really was. He's definately gonna be feelin that for a while.
The NFL ruled it a clean hit as Green slid late and the Bengals player was blocked in the back by a Chiefs player and didn't have full control over his body.
A very nasty hit when viewed from behind. I'm glad the guy just suffered a concussion. Looks a helluva lot worse. New age helmets are doing their jobs.
didn't look helmet to helmet to me, more like shoulder pad to helmet. and the officials ruled it ok because he was caught up being blocked, directly before the hit and trent green had begun to slide.

OUCH! Was it me, or was he running in super slow-motion?
