I have 3 options.
I have already prepaid for the new L7's.
My delima is......
1. Should I Get DVC 2 ohm L7s Soo I can buy 2 more BD1000s and hook up 2 1000w amps to each speaker?(minimal facade mods)$700.00
OR......
2. Should I get DVC 4 ohm L7s Soo I can buy 2 more L7s to go along with 2 new bd1000s so I would have 4 solobaric titaniums on 4 RF BD1000s?( would hae to trash a 300+dolla facade and start from scratch)$1,500.00
OR......
3. Leave the system as it is with the eception of the new 4 ohmers, and work on the rest of my tv's to ga along with my new indash eclipse 6.0?( this will include: 1 indash for center console in the rear, 2 7.0s in the head rests, and a 15 inch baller screen in da back)$2,800+
Go all out with the system and get the R block, but in my opinion you dont need alot of speakers to make your car thump, just 2 good ones. Try looking up SPL, they are new.
Car Sound Magazine test report:
BD1000 710W @14.4V, 589 @ 12.8V, 374 @10.5 List $849
JL 500/1 605 @14.4V, 601 @ 12.8V, 591 @ 10.5V List $599
Under big stereo load, most vehicle's voltage will drop very low (10.5V). At that voltage, with each amp at 2 ohm, the JL put out 4 more watts than the Rockford.
I can't wait until they get their 1000 out.
I'm starting to buy parts of my system and I'm thinking a few more weeks and I'll be stopping by for one of those 500/1's and a 300/4 + some components.
By the way do you have any idea how much one of those 10w7 H.O wedge boxes costs and when they are coming out (if they aren't out already out) b/c I haven't found anymore info on them.
HO110R-W7 box is $800 List. If you put a deposit on one, I'll order it. Last time I checked, they were not shipping.
