I know someone who works for them and he came over to give us the presentation a couple of weeks ago. It is somewhat of a pyramid scheme. They sell insurance and consolidation loans and try to bring you in to sell too. They offer a "free" analysis of your finances but they ask you to commit to giving them 10 leads in return

One of the little things they do is bring new people in and "train" them to sell the insurance. The trainer gets to keep the commissions on the new folks sales until the new folks get licensed. From what I hear, the "trainers" usually try to keep their trainees under them as long as possible.

It is possible to make money selling their stuff but you run the risk of pissing off your friends and family with the sales pitch and then the asking for the leads.

Buying dogs kills.

IMO, if you're going to work your way up knocking on doors in the financial world, Edward Jones is a better company. When they get someone trained up, and he passes all his liscenses, they set him up with his own franchise in a more or less captive market.

Give me a dollar.
