my dad was just laid off!!!

apparantly the company sucks at keeping contracts. told him that they no longer have enough work to keep him around. the job was nice 18/hr full benefits and everything.
he has 35+yrs experience in the heavy duty diesel truck repair.business. he can do anything from the most simple truck tune up to engine overhauls to trailer repair and even inspections(recently aquired his inspector cert.)owns all the tools he needs to get the job done. we live in the 635 & 30 area would be nice to find something close by here but flexible.
I know there's a member on here that has or works for a good trucking company so if you could pls post up or pm me. or you give me a call or txt me at 469 222 3339.
thanks guys

Check the websites for KBR, Dyncorp, Fluor, Combat Support Agency (CSA), L3, CH2M, any of the MRAP builders, or just do a search on monster and careerbuilder. Just type iraq mechanic in their search engine.

If he's that good, he can make 6 figures a year with ease.

down side is that he is not ase cert. and wont fetch those kind of figures without it. bright side is most of the bigger companies are willing to pay for the exams to become certified

A lot of places will take years of experience over cert's don't they? I know it works like that in computers. Good luck to him!

They've done studies you know.... 60% of the time, it works every time

Cummins also has field mechanics. They have a shop off of 380 and Big Town Blvd in Mesquite(sp). I know they do alot of work for us(Halliburton), Schlumberger and several other oilfield service companies

Be thankful we're not getting all the government we're paying for.
