Looking for a job---auto exp.
Alright here is the deal. I've been with a certain high-line dealership for over 2 years now, and am tired of their selfishness preventing me from being paid for all of the work I do. I can discuss the details with appropriate party when necessary. Basically I changed from being a porter to being an assistant sales manager without any additional pay. Most of my recent experience is in the used car department, dealing with inventory and problem-solving. This includes stocking in trades, inputting all of the data concerning: vehicle information, reconditioning estimates, setting our retail price, determining COS, etc., putting together packets and pulling a carfax for each vehicle, getting keys/paperwork to used car tech, keeping up with processes with vehicle through shop/detail/reconditioning, etc. I spend much of my day also helping our sales staff figure out which their head from their....anyway. I can also be an awesomely efficient porter when need be.
I am not limited to a sales department skill-set, however. I am an excellent problem solver in general. I am good at doing math in my head quickly and determining logical solutions to sporatic problems under stress. I am also very mechanically inclined and a very fast learner. I have a wide variety of hand tools but nothing pneumatic as of yet. I do all my own work on my cars and that's pretty much how I have learned.
And now for the prize at the end of the long read, lol. Basically I'm trying to advance myself in life and make use of my abilities and get paid better and treated better. I'm not necessarily looking for another dealership, I'd really like to start learning the aftermarket better, work for a shop, etc. I'm a dedicated hard worker that is never late, always open to new ideas, ready to learn, and most importantly....has a love and passion for cars. If you need someone like me or know someone who does, shoot me a PM and I'll get back to you ASAP.
