Just got done with an interview

So I get a call from company "X" the other night saying they had seen my resume on Careerbuilder.com and wanted to know if I wanted an interview. I really didn't want to, but had nothing else going on so I figured I might check it out just in case.

So I go to this interview today and the offer they made me was flat out insulting. I have a 4-year degree from a private University, Bachelor of Business Administration - Management plus a pretty good amount of previous work experience.

This was their offer for the job:

- $24k base pay + commission
- 50-60 hours a week, Monday through Saturday
- Use your own car to go out door to door to sell w/gas allowance

I said "Well, I'll think about it and I'll call you back if I want the job."

FUCK THAT! What a waste of time. I could have stayed selling cars and done better than that and I didn't have to use my car to sell anything.

Sounds like multi-level marketing. I went on a few of those bs interviews when I got out of college.

You can't put syrup on shit and call it pancakes.

No it wasn't a MLM job. I was an actual company that provides lots of service across the U.S. Not sure if their parent company is Fortune 500 or 1000.
