Job Summary CompUSA is currently seeking a Programmer/Analyst, to work in our Information Technology Department, which consists of a group with strong and creative programmers who work in a team-oriented environment.
The candidate chosen to fill this position will be responsible for the design, construction and deployment of new key business websites/web applications, as well as the support and redesign of websites/web applications in place using namely ASP.NET and C# with a SQL Server backend.
Other roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
·Working with Business Analyst to review and refine business requirements.
·Completing high-level, detailed technical designs that include architecture topology, ERD, process flow chart, user interfaces and detailed code designs for complex business problems.
·Creating codes, tests, and documents online or batch programs based upon formulated designs and specifications. Performing debugging and problem solving tasks to support the production environment.
·Participating in creating and performing system test plans.
·Participating in creating technical and user documentation.
·Maintaining an awareness of changing technology and making recommendations for integrating changes into the current development of applications and systems.
·Providing input to programming, testing, and documentation standards or any other standards deemed necessary.
·Acting as a technical mentor to less experienced staff.
·Maintaining a close working relationship with other IT personnel, including Business Analysts, Quality Control, Project Management and Operations departments for project estimates and resource allocations.
Requirements A successful candidate for this position will need:
·Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or related field and 3-5 years of work experience; or equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training.
·ASP.NET experience and C# experience.
·Microsoft Commerce Server and Microsoft Content Management. Prior working history in delivering internal business portals and Strong SQL Server Skills
·Experience with Proclarity and/or Microsoft Reporting Services a plus.
·Experience with Endeavor Commerce Configurator a plus.
·Microsoft Office experience is highly desired. Web development experience preferred.
Must have good interpersonal and written communication skills and be able to work in a team environment. Successful candidate will be a professional, detail oriented, self-starter who can work both independently and in a team environment. Solid business, communications, and procedural skills are a must as this position has significant interaction with corporate business units and regional entities. Ability to work with frequent, rapid change and peer diversity is important.
