SMU Grad- Seeking Full time job

I am a recent SMU Grad, with a Bachelors in Business and a minor in Psychology.
Very high GPA, and past work experience in financial institutions.

Anyone know if a good company hiring in the business/investments/finance world?
Please PM me if you do - can send resume upon request.

By far one of the best companies i ever worked for!
They always promote within, and they take good care
of their people. Many incentives. They do have a
rule though, you have to be there at a certain time
everyday, if not , you could get fired,, i never got it,

I'm an SMU grad myself, and I work for Deloitte Consulting. If you have a high G.P.A and 15+ hours of accounting, shoot me your resume to [email protected].

It depends on what you want to do. It's going to be hard if you only have a general business degree because Deloitte specializes in a ton of stuff.

I am a controller and have 18 hours of accounting. I know our unit is hiring, but if you don't have experience in financial management/budgeting/forecasting, and overall project management, it might be hard to get you an interview.

What year did you graduate? I started with Accenture a year and a half ago....I know they are hiring as well, and I have friends there (and I think they need a lot of people) although, I did not like the job at all (financial analyst) it was good experience.

Shoot me your resume and I'll see what I can do.

-Matt

Countrywide

Check the paper every week, I was told they are having a job fair a few times a month. That is probably your best bet unless you know someone on the inside.

I got lucky, a sales manager in Countrywide's Full Spectrum Lending department bought something from a salesman that I trained, and liked him so much that he got both of us an interview within a few days. They started the hiring process the same day we went in to see them. I am starting with them on August 1st. Sounds like it is going to be a great company to work for, and I am looking forward to it.
