I guess this would be the right forum for this. I was watching Desperate Housewives last night(hey, at least I admit it) and the red headed housewife, Bree, I think is her name, was telling her son who is a bisexual that he can't go to heaven because he likes...as he put it chocolate ice cream as well as vanilla.

Where in the bible does it specifically say "****'s don't go to heaven"? Do you really believe this? If god is so forgiving why can't the gays go to heaven? What about the gays that hate the fact that they are gay and have feelings for the same sex? Is that not repentance of their "sin"?

It's not a sin to be gay, it's a sin to have practice it. God will accept anyone gay or not, but by doing the act, you are sinning. This includes lusting also. Lusting is a sin I commit almost everyday! Not homosexual lusting, the correct lusting!

I believe that if they control their desires and repent and most importantly accept Jesus as their savior, they will go!

I hope you're joking about there being a "correct" lust. All lust is sin. With that said I agree that the thought makes you as guilty as the action. Anyone and everyone who truly repents will go to heaven and we all need to for we've all sinned and continue to do so.

I'm fairly sure, not 100% sure that the bible says homosexuality is a sin. Not just the act of homosexual sex. If there was a "correct" lusting, it wouldn't be a sin. True?

Inconclusive to the person that flips threw it at a glance.....seek and you shall find. You have to dive into the Word....question things to get answers.....you have to understand the culture and the time period, once you grasp the culture and writing style of the time period you see between the lines and the Truth jumps off the page.

Prime example. In the New Test. Jesus says and I am going to paraphrase because I don't have the text in front off me but...."If your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off.....if you eyes cause you to sin gouge them out...."
He is not telling you to actuall do this but rather you MUST be willing to do what it takes to keep yourself from sin.....Present day translation would be if you are looking at porn on the net all the time, then get rid of the computer or the internet....
Basically you must be willing to execute extreme measures to free yourself.
The bible might as well be inconclusive when the majority of people rewrite what the bible says to better suit themselves. "I'll commit this sin because it's not as bad as this other one" thinking is where Christianity turns me off the most.

As for the removal of body parts that cause you to sin...God put him there. Let God take care of it.

It's safe to say that more than 99% of christians out there pick and choose which sins are worth following and which ones are not.
well whether or not that is true it still doesnt change the result on judgement if they dont repent. no one lives sin free, we are made free be accepting christ and his gift of grace, then we are in turn expected to live the best most "CHRIST LIKE" life we can, and WHEN we stumble, repent and keep trying!!
