Gum on carpet?

I got most of it out but I'd like to know what's the best way to get gum out of carpet for future reference. My dad stepped on some gum and than got it on the passenger floor mat on my new car

Peanut Butter... Not sure what you would use to get that out though.

Get an ice cube and place it on the gum for a while. The harder the gum is, the easier it is to remove. The ice will harden the gun and you can pick it out of there.

A can of "canned air" or "dust remover" like they sell for computer keyboards turned upside down works pretty good too.

Yeah that works also, just makes the gum harder and easier to remove.

Good point.. I actually thought about that since that is what people recommend when it gets on clothes.

That's actually what I did but couldn't remember where I read that or if it was even right. I was able to vacuum most of it and fortunately when my dad told me what happened I had him take off that shoe LOL! Still got a little bit on there, might try shampooing it or something next.

I had knocked over a candle once and the hot wax went all over the place. I used a hair dryer and it worked awesome. I know wax and gum are two different things but I would try it.
